One cast member has been confirmed dead in a collision between two Monorails at Walt Disney World. The crash occurred on the EPCOT line near the Ticket and Transportation Center station around 2AM as operations were winding down following 4th of July fireworks. LAKE BUENA VISTA -- The driver of a Walt Disney World monorail was killed when two monorails collided early Sunday, according to reports from Bay News 9's partner station, News 13.
Witnesses said the monorails collided at the Epcot station around 2 a.m. Sunday as guests were leaving the park after a Fourth of July fireworks show.
Fire officials said the driver was pronounced dead on the the scene, and another driver was taken to the hospital.

The Independence Day weekend means firework. In Central Florida the place to be is either at the Themeparks or at the Firecracker 400 (now the Coke Zero 400, but whatever).
